Renters Insurance -

The holders of the mortgage of our homes require an insurance policy be to protect the home.  This policy has been purchased.  This policy does not protect a tenant of their personal property.  Basically, the policy only covers the house itself.  It does not cover any of a tenants belongings against damage or disappearance; nor does it cover for negligence, for example, leave a burner going under a pan of grease and start a fire which damages the kitchen.

For our tenants to protect theirselves against these unforeseen events, they should purchase a tenant’s insurance policy, often called a Tenants Policy or a homeowners 4 Policy.  Most insurance companies and agents will write such a policy. We strongly urge our tenants to acquire renters insurance.
